76 Nova
hey whats up i recently just bought a 76 nova with a 250 ci straight 6 1 barrel carb engine this engine will eventually be taken out and a 350 going in but for now id like to clean the looks of this engine up a little by painting the valve cover, carb. cap, and radiator sheild , i was wondering what the procedure would be to remove the rust (they all have a decent amount of rust on them) and paint them ... thank you for your time.

nice wire brush to remove most of it and then get some paint that neturalizes it. Napa has some cool paint that does it. Like 8 bucks a can but works good

I would clean them with the wire brush, then if you have the access to a sandblaster sandblast them then some high heat paint.

Re: 76 Nova
I am parting out a 76 with a 250 and have a nice valve cover if you need it. Patrick 541-298-2687
