Re: Check Engine
A 98 Aurora has a true OBDII system. You should be able to buy a cheap $30-50 scantool. My car is a 95. It was a transition year between a OBDI and II so I had to buy a $500 scanner to read it. But anything 96 and later can use the cheap OBDII tool. And I believe that Autozone will scan your car for free.

Re: Check Engine
Go to any Autozone store. They will use there scan tool & tell you what system in your car caused your light to come on, at no charge.
If you plan on doing your own work, it's a good idea to purchase your own diagonstic tool. |
