intake question

for a gst.... which is better...

the K&N FIPK, like on http://www.overboost.com/obs/product.asp?pid=12620

or get the Dejon 2g Curved Intake Pipe (sizes 2.75" 3" 3.5" & 4") Use this with Side Mount and Front Mount IC's and a 2gMAS before the turbo on http://www.dejontool.com/DSM%202gC%20Intake.htm

since im not currently boosted, but i have a feeling i will be very soon, im just doing some homework on what to start modding when i get it.

Re: intake question

Home depot intake with a K&N filter from summit racing. Cheap and it works just as well. If you can't make one yourself just get a cheapo ebay pipe.

Re: intake question

The filter kit is what I have and for the intake pipe I would just go to Home depot and buy some PVC piping for less than $10 and make your own!

answer is both, best thing to do is get a hard intake pipe of some sort (dejon tool being a nice one) and puting a nice open air filter on the mas (K&N FIPK being one of the best) another option is getting an Injen intake system that comes with the hard intake pipe and a filter, but its expensive.

both will work about the same (many wars fought over this so no flames) the best thing is the open air filter, second is the hard intake pipe, but a pipe is realy a pipe.

yes they do go together, its not really going to connect with the filter because the pipe and the filter do not touch.

Re: intake question

You are asking what's better, an air filter or an intake pipe? Get them both, and if you need to buy a real intake, but remember its a piece of pipe.. buy the cheapest.. dejon.
