1992 explorer with4.0
i have a explorer 4.0 at a pull it has the a timing rattle like it is not advancing i replaced plugs,wires, coil pack and the crank position sencer what next

I think you would mean "like its not retarding" How about a knock sensor?

4.0 OHVs are known for carbon issues that can lead to; spark ping (from increase in comp ratio), ticking (from piston contact with deposits in quenche zones), buzzing and rattleing (from carbon loose in the exhaust sys) First I'de recommend getting a good combustion chamber decarb additive from the local autoparts store, and run with that for starters. Can't promise this coarse of action will cure it, but the next option is a bit riskier! In alot of exsteme cases the deposits are so tough that it can take flooding the chambers with special solvents or blasting them with ingested shots of water,
but if this isn't done carefully you can hydro-lock the engine! You may want to have a shop that offers induction and de-carb services perform that chore if my first sugestion doesn't help.
