Driving down burwood road...look in the mirror...blue and red lights...

Stay in the car sir...

They check if the car is stolen...
Spend 20 min looking through my car...looking through the engine...giving me attitude...

That sucks big time Tannee Especially after you put all the effort into it.

Just remember that as far as height is concerned it has to be 100mm of the ground measured from the chassis - not the suspension. Nothing you can do about the taillights. I'm assuming you have bigger than 16s on the car - you can go +2 which on your car which came with 14s you can go to 16s as long as the rolling diameter stays the same.

Do you have to take it to the RTA to confirm the changes? If you go to the RTA website, there is some stuff on what can and can't be legally modified.

Anyway - I hope it gets better for you soon mate.

Cheers

Ur car is the shit, and legal enough, like the thing stops, it drives well (now with new trans ) it has no rust is straight body, good tyres, good seat belts, engine ok, ant gonna shoot out a flywheels or sum crap. So its legal, fuk all this crap on, ur car to low, or ur bodykit is too cool take it off, and those lights are wicked, like mi old lights reflected light, thats all that should matter, it had reflectors, the car can be seen at night, all safe, fuk this reflecting red light, man i anger!!!

Man i know rite now u thinking, u too tired to fight this, but fuk them, fight it boss, dont let a cop on a trip picking on u cos he wishes wen he was that young that he had a car as hot as urs, and the major ting is that he is old and still dont have a car as hot as urs!! Man do fight it eh, dunno wat it like in oz, but in nz they cant take ur licence on driving a car like that, with they lower suspension and all that!!

Dont let them win, ok!! good!!

Bloody pigs, and they wonder why we call them that!! Fuking go solve a murder, or pull ova the pricks that deseve it, instead of picking on the poor buggars that modify their cars. Pft!!

RAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!:aug2:

That's some bad shit, man. THis is what you do. Go and get EPA approval and then an Engineers certificate. Then they can't touch you! That'll really stick it to the man. Then get your engineers certificate and shove it under the pigs nose. THen give a long, loud and merry FUCK YOU!.

As long as he meets the specs I posted earlier he'll be right.

Tannee, with the lowered suspension on my Civic I was 70cm off the ground at the chassis - now I'm about 120mm-130mm I think (I'm not wandering downstairs to check ). You will still look good if you get properly wound springs that don't drop out of their cups (maybe go progressive rate as they compress in a similar way to coil-overs, just not as well). Get the springs and make sure that the dealer puts it in writing that they meet ADRs and you are set.

Tails no-one will engineer - go back to the stock ones - it'll still look good.

Wheels - if they are > 16 then get a second opinion and flog them off if they can't be classified as legal. If they are 16s then you should be right - put the stocks on when you have it checked and then drop on the aftermarket wheels when you get home and stay away from the cops. Or flog them off and get wheels that are ADR certified for your car. If you don't have stock wheels I'll lend you my SiRs 14s with 195/60/14s on them for the drive to and from the inspection place.

Cheers

It doesn't necessarily require reason. Cops in NSW are notorious for this. Size is prolly a clearance issue, but I don't know

No, it has to do with the profile of the tyre being able to suppot weight. THis is the reason for the <=+2 situation.

Thanks for the input guys...but its too late...

I woke up early this morning...told my mum that i was going to fill up petrol which i did...and drove to the local park where i took photos of my stocky car when i first got it. Got out the camera...and took about half a roll of photos..(for TOYVTI to perv =) )...

Once i got home...went to the garage...took out my hubbies...loaded them into the car...drove to the mechanic...man...ive been heart broken the whole day...my mums like...if you have a bad wife (wife rep my car) you gotta change...hehehe...

yeah well...took it in...and it was riding less than 1 inch off the ground with hubs...so there it was.. went and got my old shocks and springs...and exhaust...

Still havent got my car back...hopefully monday...but its gotta be almost back to normal...they took off my exhaust...rims...shocks and springs...and alarm. Ive made a booking at doran on monday to take out my system...TAN38A is no more...riding stock with a bodykit and T wing.

AHHH...sooo depressed....AHH...so upset...but life goes on.

So there it is...the TAn legacy is no more...after i get it back...and i do some research...its gonna be in the trading post....and i'll be left with no car...well...the spare one...which i really dont wanna drive.

So yeah...anyone interested in some spare parts...just post away...

SPOON SHOCKS AND SPRINGS...LOWER Appro 2 inchs...worth 2k...make best offer...i have no idea yet...

Clear Tail lights with Red blubs and red blub spray....make offer...i bought for i think 450 or something...been using since auto salon 2001.

Mmmmm....think thats it.

Wanna buy a civic?

Man...immmm sooo heart broken...but i guess as 2PAC always said life goes on...
