Need help re: 1998 Mountaineer tailgate wiper

I need to replace the motor to my rear window wiper and do not know how to get the tailgate apart.

Usually, you just remove the pull loop and pull. be sure to lift it over the latch for the rear glass. Keep an eye open for other screws, though. When you remove them all the time you tend to forget what year is what setup and just do it but I think that's it.

Hope this helps

1. Remove the (A) liftgate handle to liftgate screws and the (B) liftgate handle.

2. Remove the liftgate trim panel screw access plug.

3. Remove the screw.

4. Remove the liftgate door trim panel.

Use Windshield and Molding/Trim Removal Kit to remove the liftgate door trim panel from the liftgate window opening.

Push the liftgate door trim panel toward the top of the liftgate and remove the liftgate trim panel.


Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
