Monroe REFLEX Shocks

I need to replace the front and rear shocks on my 2002 Yukon. Has anyone tried Monroe's REFLEX Shocks? I never go off road. I want a smooth ride but stiff in corners (Little/no body roll). When the Yukon was new it had a level ride with little body roll. However, it sways a lot now. Oh yeh - I dont want to spend a lot of money. So Bilsteins while good are out of my price point.

Hi Pinnacle.
I hope that you do not have the Autoride system (I do love mine, though).
If you do, a set of four shocks costs $1,600.
The wording 'AUTORIDE' should be on the puffy stickers behind the rear doors that say SLE or SLT.
Please make sure that the suspension (sway bar, springs, etc) have been checked out.

I just replaced the original shocks with monroe reflex shocks on my 99 suburban. The difference in handling was amazing! (although I did have over 100,000 on the old shocks) Bought them at Sears 40.00/each with free installation (they run the free install every 2-3 weeks). The
only drawback is the back of the truck bounces like crazy going over
bumps. Now, I don't notice it up front but the kids complain and I did
ride back there for awhile on a trip last weekend and it is pretty annoying if you're in the back seats. Good luck!

Hi Mike, you just made the case for not disabling the Autoride feature.
One notice that may apply to your vehicle is that on my YXL K2500 with LT tires the recommended pressure is 50PSI front, 80PSI rear.
With a light load and no towing I can set this to 40PSI front and 50PSI rear.
Check your manual and see, if you can do something similar.

Thanks for tip....I'll take a look and see if I can run a lower tire pressures.
