My Car won't start

Hey

I have a 92 civic dx. Its manual. It started up this morning with no problems. I get out of church and try to start it. At first it kind of starts then dies. Then i try again and nothing. It truns over, i have gas, the battery isn't dead, no fuses are blown. I need help bad. I have to leave to get back to school. Let me know. Thank you.

sup i got a 91 crx dx and i had the same problems, distributor went bad and after i replaced that it still wouldn't start i had everything right, timming and everything so me and my dad went out and while he was spraying either(starting fluid) down the intake it turned over atleast 20 times then it finally started, idk y it wouldn't start but it finally did. u and i have OBD0(type of ECU) turn ur key to the on position and look at the ECU and see how many times the LED light flashes if it doesn't flash at all then the ECU is bad, but if it does flash its still good u just have something bad. if everything electrically is good then check ur distributor button if it has any play in it at all, replace it fast before it really messes something up. but for some odd reason mine wouldn't start until we used the either. try it and see if it works if it don't either call me on my cell and i'll tell u the rest of the info on what i did with mine 706-833-5347 my name is aj

if you needed starter fluid to start it then it can't be the ECU, it's a fuel starvation problem. check your fuel pump and lines, carburator/fuel injection system and so on.,,.,.,.,..,.,.,..,.,,

I have a 94 Civic EX and I'm pretty much having the same problem. Basically, when you try to start the engine, normally you should hear the fuel pump turning on and inputting fuel into the engine. I have to turn the key on into II and wait until the fuel pump kicks in because it won't do it right of way. On cool weather, it pretty much kicks in after a few seconds; if it's hot or humid, it may sit there anywhere from 5 to 10 mins until it turns on.

Sometimes if you tapped the fuel tank, release fuel pressure by unscrewing the fuel cap, tapped underneath the fuse console by the steering wheel, or opened the hood, the engine starts. Again, there is no pattern and it may just be casualty.

There was a known issue about the Fuel Main Relay on those early model cars. After a while, the soldering starts falling off and when it’s hot/humid there’s no direct contact within the relay. I changed it with a good relay. It worked just fine after it, but next day, it was doing the same thing. I checked the fuel pump, and every time I turned the ignition into II, there was voltage going through it. So I changed the pump with a new one; the problem remains. A friend is going to check error codes in the ECU. So far seems to be an electrical problem.

Does any one have any suggestions?
