A LeMans racer from scraps..feasible?
What do you think? Aluminum tubes..engine..a lot of shit from scraps..thoughts?

Why scraps? The new Bentley LMP is pretty much a reskinned Audi R8 LMP, which has been monopolizing nearly all of the Le Mans series.
Good grief, whatever happened to all the competition in prototype racing... BMW withdraws after a hugely successful campaign (so they may leave it at that), Mercedes pulls out after they somersaulted that one CLK-GTR. Nissan went broke. Toyota is going Formula 1. Seems like all the company backed teams are focusing their time/budget on F1 these days. Oh well, Godspeed, Bentley.

Next year the team Oreca Crysler LMP and the Cadillac LMP will be much stronger. Its curtains for Audi next year.

Can someone explain why the dwindling down of automakers in the LeMans? I mean, it's sad to see such interesting cars go away!

I thought that Cadillac was on a three year program that also ends next year. It was supposed to be testing new race technologies.

Well, I have it on good authority that Cadillac were using this year and last as testing - with next year being when they go for a win. But I heard recently that they will have a whole new car next year. I dunno...

It's refreshing to see new and returning faces in the series, especially with interest from the Big 3. Caddy should PRAY to do better, seeing how they've been performing to date. Hopefully, Mazda will return someday and stir up some deja vu with another win, reflecting the win a decade ago, which labeled it as the first Japanese Le Mans winner.
