The control/battery box looks a little large to me... Where would you fit it?

quite expensive, but for someone that actually don't know anything in electronic, it's a good idea.

just sad the baterry need to be external

I'm not good with electrics (thats why i'm taking auto mfg (electricity) for one of my classes.) My father is good at this shit, but he probably wouldnt do it just for a model. And yes, it does look big, probably wouldnt fit in a 350Z or Corvette.

Pretty pricey though, you can buy some leds. and some resistor's for about 5 bucks.

what i would do is put it inside, and tint all the windows, the downside would be no interior though.

The control box is not that big. It uses AAA batteries which are reasonably small. It will fit in the boot (trunk) area of most kits. It has to accessible though as it also contains the control switches for switching on indicators and lights.

i was thinking about buying a model display and having the wires run underneath the display. so im sitting in my room, id make it dark and turn the car lights on for abit of light.

11 bucks per set though, id be buying like 2 or 3 max, it adds up.
