84 towncar stalling at stop

Car idles very low or dies when I come to a stop. It runs great otherwise. As I was under the hood working on it yesterday, it was idling fine then all the sudden it went to very low idle. Could this be the IAC value?

Try the E G R VALVE, sounds stopped up.

Is that something that can be cleaned out - or do you have to replace it?

better ( how many miles) if over 150000 then just unplug it- from the egr valve or from the silenoids that control the EGR valve. try unplugging it first ( cheaper) will not hurt if the car has high miles.

Can you tell me where it is located (92 8 cyl)? My Haynes book talks about it, but does not show where it is located on the block. Mine has about 130K miles...
