Question Mirror Replacement Question

I have a 2004 Chevy Express van with a motorized heated side mirror that was damaged in a snow slide. I have purchased a replacement GM mirror. Mounting the replacement mirror looks pretty simple with the three bolts behind the cover plate on the inside of the door ahead of the window. The part that I don't understand is how to connect the 8-pin electrical jumper. Is there some way to take off the inside door panel without destroying it in the process, or is it easier than that? Thanks for the help!

Re: Mirror Replacement Question

that is actually the only way you can reach the harness unless you have a cover that just slips off right there in the corner but with the way you are describing it, its the whole darn door pannel it isnt real hard but that is how you have to go about it
