safe to launch my car?
i just bought a rebuilt tranny and it's got 15k miles on it. I have a rps streetmax 6 puck disk clutch (680 ft. lbs. torque) and I dunno if it's safe to launch my car cuz that's what broke my old tranny.

Re: safe to launch my car?
Imagine standing still. Now imagine a football player hitting you. That's what your tranny feels like when you launch.

Re: safe to launch my car?
Anytime you replace your transmission/clutch you need to break it in for a while. If those parts havent been broken in a few hundred miles should be fine. Also dont wind her up all the way and dump the clutch the first time, do some easier launches first. Or you can just keep 2 trannys and keep blowing them while rebuilding the other and you could get really good at transmission work.
