Re: "E"

could be the floater in the tank isn't working properly. Also the sending unit could be bad. Sometimes the gauge itself goes bad also. Good Luck

Re: "E"

Well the floater is in the gas tank which means you have to drop the tank in order to replace it. Find The Connector To The Fuel Pump/fuel Gauge Sending Unit. It Is Usually somewhere By The Fuel Tank. Unplug The Connector And Turn Your Ignition On But Do Not To Start. Your Fuel Gauge Should Peak At Full Or Empty, I Cant Remember With One It Is. Anyway If It Peaks At Full Or Drops All The Way To Empty You Know The Gauge Works And Your Fuel Gauge Sending Unit In The Tank Is Bad. If Nothing Happens When You Unplug The Connector You Have A Gauge Problem. Make Sure You Check The Fuse First.( info from this forum)You may want to take it to a shop and have them look at it. It may cost you a diagnoses fee but you will be able to find the root of your problem.
Good Luck
