How to tell a GS-R?

I've been wondering this for a long time.. how you actually tell a GS-R from any other Integra. Are there any distinguishing marks or anything? For example, on the new celicas.. to tell if it's really a GT or GT-S you have to look at the rear brakes. If they're disc brakes, it's a GT-S.. if they're drum brakes it's a GT.

Re: How to tell a GS-R?

usually you can see a silver badge that says DOHC Vtec under the right rear brake light. Other than that, It'll have a wing, which is an option for the other models too, but a GSR always came with a wing.

Re: How to tell a GS-R?

GSRs have rims like the ones in pepsihatman's sig or the fat fives (a little different version of those rims 94-97) the redline is 8100 rpm and the engine says DOHC VTEC on the valve cover and the engine is b18c1 compared to the b18b (LS, GS, SE)

Re: How to tell a GS-R?

GS-R's also came with LS mesh wheels, which were available on both nonvtec, and vtec Integra's. Except the "R" of course.

Don't fool yourself, gt-s are quick little machines... 14.7 does seem a little low but with a good driver and good tires it is understandable. Usually i've seen them run 15.0 flat, about same if not a hair quicker than a gs-r.

14.7 is very possible for a gt-s.. just takes lots of practice with a good driver. The GT-S is very hard to master because of its narrow powerband. Other GT-S's on newcelica.org have gotten 14.7's also stock w/ full interior. Stripped interior will get mid 14's in a GT-S.

And here's the slip. My tires suck (Toyo Proxes FZ4).. so I could only get 2.3 60's.
