Question Audi Sport Quattro

Anybody know if these cars mods well? Right now im looking for an old E30 M3 but the Audi Quattro caught my again. However I don’t know much about the cars. I know they were great rally cars but how about for street and track use? Do they handle well or rather can they be made to handle well with some over steer pretty easily? How much power can the stock engine handle? Much aftermarket for these cars?

Sorry for all the questions thanks

Re: Audi Sport Quattro

Oh one more question. Is it true that there were only 200 sport quattros made? If that is ture then did they sell any other AWD coupes here in America?

Re: Audi Sport Quattro

There are to many models to be specific. The 20valve 2.3 is probably the best engine to go for. Generates about 170/80 BHP standard, Audis piss all over Bmers in nearly all areas (IMHO. I doactualy like Bmers as well. They just don't wiegh up to Audis). The main one being build quality and the fully galvanised body/pannels/ect (not to mention the fully sealed/silicon under sealant!). There is no end of lowering springs & shocks available. I just got a new set of Eibach springs & dampers for £60 off of Ebay. 4WD is just handling heaven compared to RWD, whether you firm up the shocks or not...

The 'Sport/S' cars are reletivly rare. They are basicly a standard Quattro with slightly lower, firmer, suspension. There are a few other things but that's the main...

Get a Quattro. You won't regret it. You could get a nice one for a few K as well!...

Re: Audi Sport Quattro

Ok but I noticed you live or lived in the UK. I know the quattros are easy to find there but does the US have them too?

Re: Audi Sport Quattro

Yep!
I'm not exactly sure which car you're talking about, though... The UrQuattro?
Bah, anyway...
We Americans were blessed with a de-tuned version of the UrQuattro.
Indeed, it's a rarity, but my Dad has one for sale...
Price? I don't remember.
