1999 chevy venture.wont start

battery went dead, replaced batt,but car still will not crank, tried passkey, [why,cause it was there] now no power at all

Check out the terminals on the battery. I know it sounds stupid, but I had a similar problem when I replaced my battery. I had misthreaded the screw on the connector into the battery, which had pulled a thin rubber insulator into the hole.It wasnt giving the battery a good enough connection. My van did various wierd things like clicking noises, guages going crazy, and eventually, nothing at all. I unscrewed it, cleaned it and hand tightened the terminal back in.
