What Muffler should I get

Ok, im not getting a muffler for at least another month but Im board and I would figure I would ask you all. I want a decent muffler for hopefully around 125 or less. Something that wount last for 6 months then puke, or rust. Something that has a nice low tone to at at slow RPMS but does not get loud as all hell at higher RPMs (well into 5k and over its expected to be loud) I dont want a muffler thats gonna be blasting at 100db when im only at 3 - 4 k RMPS. I cant stans these cars that drive by me sometimes with there cheap ass turbo mufflers that are loud as hell when there only going 25 miles an hour. Sorry just wanna set you guys straight on what im looking for. Any suggestions?

its a 4" dual dragger. ive seen them online for cheaper, but i bought it at speed merchant for 200. just too impacient to wait and i had money to blow. heres a pic of it on my car. kinda hard to see though. and i just sent out the audio actually, so youll get it next time you check.

i like mine alot more than all other dual tips, because mine also had twin canisters. its not just a dtm style.

it looks like this, except mine has bigger and longer tips, and bigger canisters.

Try this, CHEAP and nice....

I have done LOTS of Hondas this way!! ELIMINATE that last muffler that just rusts, etc. STRAIGHT pipe, cat back, and a SUPER tip. I put the TWIN upswept 4" on the last and it looks GREAT!! The tone is JUST right.......never TOO loud, SWEET at low RPM. TOTAL cost to me....$48!! TRY IT!

Do you think that the one at the bottom left of this page for $139 would be about the same? http://www.zauto1.com/SS_Combo.html

actually thats the one i took the pic from, ill see if i can find others. personally i dont think it would sound the same. im not sure if theres more than one way to construct the inside of the muffle(glass packed, etc.) now this could be complete nonsense, im not sure... but soundwise, think of the tips as if they were musical instruments. i would assume the longer and wider the tip is, it will produce a deeper tone. the little stubby 3" tips that one has, would produce a shallower higher pitch sound. but ill see if i can find others, i dont do shit on my days off anyways

Right on man, I would sya your prolly right about the way the tips would effect the sound. If you could find the same muffler you have for me that would be sweet. I have a coupe as well and I like the way it looks on your car. Thanks for looking for me. DO you know the exact brand of yours?

yea it is. i got a set of speedtech springs. actually the front is dropped 2", but i kept the back up. im just looking for a bumper kit that will fit around the muffler, which isnt the easiest of things since its about 8-9" wide. i kept the back up just to be different, and of course its better for drag since it put more wieght up front. too bad i dont race.

ok well i just called the shop and they said it was a maxspeed.

what size rims do you have?? mine are 17" and they fit the front nicely. they get rid of the gap but they dont tuck which is vital since im going to install a camber kit. as for the back, if i dropped those too i would probably need to roll the fenders ALOT to make room for a camber correction, and my tires. most people get 204/40's, but i got 215/45, so they stick alot more.

now heres how my car would look if it was like every other honda in california.

Maxspeed muffler huh? Ill try to find one. Yea, I think im only gonna take my rear down about 1/2" if that even. I like the look of the front being lower than the rear.
