2001 Jimmy--Will not change from 2hi to 4hi/4lo
Found burnt fuse in Fuse box, replaced it, and now the 2hi will not change to 4hi or 4lo...Transfercase is fine per computer; however, error codes readouts for the cylinoid and transmission. Auto-Transmission is working just fine... Heater did act up yesterday when fuse burnt, but now is working. Help...

Found out it keeps blowing my fuse. Now would this be caused by the transmission cylinoid?

Re: 2001 Jimmy--Will not change from 2hi to 4hi/4lo
hi im not sure about the fuse but i have a 2001 jimmy and sometimes on flat ground 4 hi wont turn on but on uneven ground it works fine or another thing is different tires or if the tires are off balanced its got somthing to do with electronic clutch packs in the transfer case just be careful because i found out that mismatched tires and or diffrent pressures can cause the transfer case to lock up and its very exspensive.

Sounds like a wire has been burnt.
Check the wiring going to the transfer case encoder motor.
