im looking at magnecor and nology... does anybody know of any better ones or which of these are better... do wires reallly even help at all?

Wires, like most ignition mods, won't make your car any faster unless you have an existing ignition problem. If one of your wires has a small crack and leaks voltage you will feel a little difference when you switch. The main reason for upgrades on ignition is when you add power. Increased cylinder pressures require more voltage to spark the gap in your plugs. Less resistance, the objective of good wires, will help out. Both of the wires you named would be good choices. Look at wire size, materials, and if listed, impedence. Good luck.
BTW a coil isn't a bad idea either.
