so, heres the problem: the car idles a bit low when it warms up, sometimes its around 700, ok, but some times its at 500, thats too low, and it bumps a bit when its idling this low, you can feel the car shake just a bit, like a v8 with cams. next symptom, when going about 40+ and push in on clutch and let off gas, rpms go way down to about 200, and then come back up to idle. when going 60+ and let off, ive actually got the car to die when clutch pushed in. next, when moisture in air, such as rain, start car and idle goes very low even after being warmed up, and dying a few times.
i think its the maf is this at all symptomatic of the o2 sensor? fuel filter? doesnt sound likely just troubleshooting oh, and i recently replaced the plugs, wires, air filter, and checked the cap and rotor. it was having this problem before i did all of the above, just for systematic troubleshooting purposes, so its not any of the new parts. thanks cj

Re: is this a bad MAF ?
Try cleaning the MAFS. Sounds like you need to clean the AIV. It could also be a faulty IAAV. www.240sx.org lists pretty much all of the possible problems in thier FAQ. Good luck.
