Gas problem

Could your fuel return line to the tank be plugged up?
Can you blow it out with compressed air (take the cap off the tank first)? Could your gas cap not be venting and not permitting gas return to the tank?

Highly unlikely and forced compressed gas will only damage critical sensitive fuel lines and sender connections.

Gas line problem

You may be right Blazer LT but I have seen the problem and done just that. It was dirt in the return line. What is your recommendation?
Don't be negative unless you have a better idea.

We can't do anything with this guy, he is far to general with his problem.

How OLD is the fuel filter. Could it be plugged up? Could the intank pump have been damaged when the tank was changed? Could they have mis connected the return line?
My guess is that the problem is AT THE TANK since that is what you changed last.

Re: 1994 s15 jimmy not runing right

the fuel filter was changed with the tank, and the tank was fine.

so the main line and return lines may be crossed?

WOW good question. I don't think it would run that way. However, the return line might be damaged or plugged. Just for kicks, try removing the gas cap!

Is yours the TBI or CPI fuel injection system. IF it is CPI, you could have a low fuel pressure problem. Or even a battery problem. If the battery voltage is too low, it will screw up the computer and fuel system.

Re: 1994 s15 jimmy not runing right

Could very well be.

Take a flashlight and look down in the hole under you vortec top plate cover.

You will have to remove the round IMTV valve to look in.

Then look for washing amd golden spots and the smell of fuel.
