Mold?

Well, my car has been since about a month after I got it, because of the busted head gasket, but hope is on the way, because I went for a job interview at Kroger's yesterday. If I get the job, then I'll be ablel to pay to have it fixed. Anyway, I was going down to get the newspaper today (the mailbox is at the bottom of the driveway), and my mom had taken it to work with her. I've been looking into buying some reverse glow guages here lately, and I have a walkthrough I have in my bookmarks, with pictures, and I saw something I thought was interesting, so I was looking in my car to see if it was the same, and it was, but the biggest point is that there is some kind of mold or something like it growing. There are little spots, just on my center console and the front passenger section of the car, where it looks like there is mold growing. It is pretty thick on the carpet in one spot, but it's on an aftermarket carpet, not the one that's part of the car. So, how should I go about cleaning it up? It just wipes away at most places, but I don't want to mask it, but actually get rid of it. Also, is there anything I can put in my car to keep if from happening again? I though about baking soda or something to get rid of the moisture.

Re: Mold?

Baking soda will help. Dude..mold can be lethal , for sure sickly . It would be wise to clean it with some good solvents. Like resolve mold solution or something. Mold can mess with your head and thats is not such a good thing when your driving.

Re: Mold?

Yeah, I'm glad I went in my car today. I was in it a couple of days ago, and there wasn't anything in it. I'm hoping to get it fixed in a few weeks, so that way I'll be in it all the time.
