Well I started this a few months ago, cutting the roof off of a Masito Panel Cruiser, but then my dremel broke. I got a new dremel for Christmas so I am working on finishing this. It was SUPPOSED to be my entry for the diecast contest but I couldnt get it done. Well here are some pics and a list of what I am going to do to it:
![]() ![]() -Cut roof off (done) -Paint it(almost done) -Paint the interior(white w/light blue) to match the outside of the car (almost done) -Find a sound system to fit in the bed of the car -Smoke tailights (done) -New wheels -T.V.s in headrests and dash I stripped all the paint off, sanded it, and put 2 layers of primer on it. I am painting it light blue, and I just got an airbrush so I hope it works well . I just have a couple more questions: should I sand it again before I paint it? and I saw 1:18 Pegasus Hobby Wire rims at the hobby store, I saw they didnt come with axles so I was wondering how I could get something like those on. I am looking for wire wheels but I dont know if I will be able to find any that are the right size.

Re: Panel Cruiser Sled Project (Progress Pics)
Well you can get a cheap one for around $10 but those arent that good, I think mine was $50, and it came with cutting, polishing, and sanding attachments.

Tamiya makes this color paint called "Smoke" it is like a transparent gray color, you can use it to tint windows, "smoke" lights, etc. it just made the tailights look dark grey, and not red.

Re: Panel Cruiser Sled Project (Progress Pics)
When I think Pannel, I think old 50's Wagon Delivery. When I think Sled, I think 50's, and slammed.
Interesting project

Re: Panel Cruiser Sled Project (Progress Pics)
You should cut the roof and make the little overhead beam, like on a convertable
