1996 Infiniti I30 won't start

I have a 1996 I30 that won't start. Battery is six months old and still strong. When I turn the key it just won't turn over. It doesn't even try to turn over. Any help would greatly appreciated. I suspect that it is the wire leading to the starter came loose.

Have u cleaned Terminals?

See for the battery grounding: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748507/10

Take a multimeter and inspect that you get +12V at the starter terminal (bend off rubber boot -shield)

Solenoid should give a click. If not, you are not getting any pwr from auto tranny ign inhibit relay (does it click), maybe stuck? How about the realy controlling tranny pos switch, does it activate when on P or N. If not, no start.

Or ign sw itself bad.

Thanks for the info. I went out this morning and it started right up. this has happenned once before and I think the owners manual has something in it about this maybe happening due to the security system but as I cannot find the manual I did not know the quick remedy to the situation. This morning I went out and armed the alarm with the remote and unlocked the doors with the remote and it started right up.

Once again thanks for the help.

Find out the fuse for it. Next time as problem exists, take taht fuse out. If that is the problem, will start, roots found.
