intake idea

alright make a note to this...i'm young and dumb and come up with weird ideas cause my mom doesn't pay me the attention that a first born should get..lol but anyways i was thinkin of goin to a junkyard and getting a hood from another corolla (93-97) and making like a little scoop on the driver's side...now i was thinkin either one..oh and the intake will be made of pvc pipe for now..one..i could get one of those splitter pipes and have one go into the top of my airbox(has a k&n filter in it) and one would go right behind that scoop w/ a filter on it or i could just have the intake go straight up to the scoop and have a ram air/cold air/ maybe even a short ram effect..nice idea right..you guys are probly shakin your heads in shame or..lol just thought this one up i could take the air box out and still have the splitter and have that scoop intake and a cai..yeah ok i'll shut up now..umm oh and if i did do the scoop intake would i need an intake bypass valve because of rain on the hood or what not? any help and opinions will be accepted

Ehh, ok now in your profile it says your car is an acura so why fuck witha bonnet off a corolla?? Sorry i was just wondering if u could tell the two cars apart.. I could give you a hand if u wanted Anyway about your intake idea i would just go fit an induction kit then fit a working scoop to ur bonnet to direct more cold air onto the filter (More air = More power)
Hope this helps
PS. sorry about the dissing in the begining it was just a WTF!! moment.

It can't get any cheaper than this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=38634

The price at the time of my posting was $5.50

Here's a pic:
