A/C Clutch Clunking??
OK....here's the newest problem of the week.
With the vent switch in any position and as I'm driving slow (<5mph), I can hear and feel the a/c clutch engage. I know the engaging is normal but the noise is now unusual in that it clunks when it engages. My thoughts are: 1. The clutch is going, or..... 2. The belt tensioner is going Anyone else have this problem yet? Thanks.....John |

Re: A/C Clutch Clunking??
My '96 engages the AC in all positions except vent....and OFF (as in heat, heat /def, and def). It does make a clunk.....but I am guessing that yours is clunking louder than normal. You could look at the belt for wear or tension.
