belt tensioner

how do you remove the belt tensioner from a cavalier. I removed the belt and unscrewed the center bolt on the tensioner but there is not enough room for the bolt to come completely off so the tensioner cannot be removed. Are there any other bolts besides the center one that have to be removed? I unscrwed the center bolt as far as it will go but there is just not enough room for it to completely come out.

Lightbulb belt tensioner

you have to put that bolt back in and go to the bottom of the car u should have a torque strut looks like a dogbone for a big dog just remove the bottom bolt and then take the two bolts off on top that mount the engine to the car(while doing this u better have a jack under it to support the weight or youll be s.o.l. after all that jack it up not from the oil pan then remove the center bolt and u should be o.k. but be careful when putting the new one in because theres a pin that has to be lined up with a little hole/notch. let me know how it turns out.
