Whats Wrong?

When I press on my gas pedal on the highway or in the city, the car jerks real bad and doesn't accelerate. What could it be?

Re: Whats Wrong?

There are several things that could be wrong. Bad Throttle position sensor, bad injectors, plugged cat. bad transmission. You could also have a bad fuel pump, plugged fuel filter or a host of other problems. Is the service engine soon light on? If so have the codes read and that may give you an idea of what is happening.

Re: Whats Wrong?

Make sure the fluid level is ok. If not add the correct amount of proper fluid type. If the fluid is OK then take it to a shop and have it diagnosed. It could be as simple as a bad vacuum modulator or solenoid. If they say the tranny is bad then the only thing you can do is rebuild or replace it.
