Nailed for projectors...wtf

Anyone else get nailed for having projector headlights on their car? I got pulled over tonight by a county sheriff claiming my brand new projector headlights i got for christmas are not ok to have on the car.

*also: anyone exactly what im doing wrong to get my angel eyes on my projectors to work? I have directions, and it says put the red wire to the running light signal on the harness, and the black wire to ground. Now i have a red and a white wire on the angel eyes, not a fricken black wire, and i tried red to signal, and white to ground, and i tried it the other way around, and nothing. any help would be great. thanks.

Re: Nailed for projectors...wtf

there are a ton of new cars with projector headlights, why is it not ok for you to have them? if you got a ticket, look up your local laws and find the # from the citation. see what it says and how it matters to your lights.

*Shpyder just did his up and says he got them working...

some projectors aren't dot approved. this neans they arent legal for street use. you might also not have aimed them correctly which might let him give you a ticket for them blinding other people

got grip, you obviously didnt read vince's (boostedspyder) post. Local laws can be different and just being DOT approved doesnt mean they arent illegal in places.
