So i just put in 150 watt speakers into the rear of my 94 ranger single cab. After i put them in i turned them up to my normal listening volume. It sounds horrible, like the snow on your tv. That bad! I've replaced the fronts with 200 watts and a 52x4 head unit. Am i drawing to much power? Do i need an amp? ANYTHING WILL HELP ME!

Is the stock radio? Since the speakers can handle more watts, are you turning it up louder? I notice on any stereo equipment, if it's full blast, it'll sound like crap.

no, the only thing stock on the system is the speaker wires. When i turn it up past 30 it just sounds really shitty. The highest it goes is 46. But i think its either a bad ground OR the head unit is going. Its been skipping cds recently and everytime i go over a bump it would cut out. Not to mention i know theres bad wiring to my right rear, it dosen't get any sound at all, but all the speakers work, so somethins messed there.
