Sounds like a problem with the valve cover gaskets.Once you floor it you have increased the oil pressure and it starts leaking out of the valve cover/s. ~Larry~

Re: smells like somethings burning
i have same problem, except it doesn't happen when i floor it, i have oil all over my front three headers right now, and i get a constant oil burning smell whenever my engine heats up. Big L- if my valve cover gasket is leaking, am i losing a lot of performance?

Re: smells like somethings burning
No your losing oil.
The oil can do a job on the plug wires. Then you would lose performance. The front valve cover gasket went out on my GTP. It was easy to change, back was harder, cuse you have to reach to get at it.

No, find a heated garage. And do it yourself.

i have a heated garage... hmm im just worried, cuz im totally mechanically declined... and i dont wanna mess something up. Like i suck at working on cars... lol i can atleast admit that i dont have one drop of mechanic in my family, im very impatient and anxious and having ADD does not mix when concentrating on a car lol

Re: smells like somethings burning
ahhaah, where to?? florida, throw me that GTX of yours with a full tank and i can promise you it will be the best sub you ever had. BTW he is not a back alley mechanic, He owns his own shop and stuff, he is just a family friend. Hes a master certified mechanic..

As far as the car goes; A full tank of gas would get you to KY. Then you wouldn't have the money for gas to make it to Florida. The sub would be cold. That wouldn't work.
