Air Intake...

My buddy has a 1994 3000GT SL (not turbo)... Hes looking for a good air intake pipe and filter... I told him to get the HKS shroom one, but does anyone have any good suggestions for his car with a good money value... is K&N really worth 200 dollars?

Just get a K&N cone filter and adaptor plate.

Nope.

As far as the original question there are plenty of cheaper and just as good alternatives. www.3sxperformance.com probably has a cheap one as well. There is an Intake comparison in teh FAQ, that should give you a few ideas.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: Air Intake...

Try eBay as well. You could get a fairly cheap intake that comes with the piping for the "bling" effect.

Haha, the bling effect, and for about 70 bucks, you can't go wrong
