TS paint to airbrush

Hope someone could help me out here. How long does the TS paint need to "gas out" after I´ve transferred it into a glass jar? I´m using the drinking straw method and I don´t plan to do the invert-can-prick-hole-pour-into-jar-messy thing.

Thanks,
/Fredrik

I only give it a couple minutes, no problems.

A couple of minutes is fine, if you stand the open jar in some warm water while you wait for it to gas out, it helps even more.
Also, slowly stirring the paint once you've got it in the jar will help it gas out too, just be careful when stirring as if you are too enthusiastic it tends to bubble really quickly and 'boil over'.

Yup stirring helps, I also thin it a little more with Gunze Mr. Color thinner which helps it settle down.

That´s exactly what happened when I put the ice cold jar in tepid water, it boiled over quite dramatically a I had to clean the sink for ten minutes. But I don´t give up that easy and now all looks fine, I´m though a bit worried about heating up the jar again... Thanks for your quick answers.

Re: TS paint to airbrush

Well, I have the jar already standing in the warm water when I start emptying the paint into the jar and have never had it bubble over because of the warmth, only from stirring too vigorously.
