Induction opinions
I've been online-shopping around for a new intake system. I've seen a couple of different kinds:
http://www.lmperformance.com/741/13.html it appears to be a sleeve that goes from the flat intake (3800 V6 98+, I think the LS1 has it also?) to below the radiator http://www.lmperformance.com/1618/13.html The site explains it really, on the underside of the intake lid there are large grooves, and the hose has large baffles on the stock intake system. this one has none of those. I was comparing the above ones to a K&N that has a conical type cold air intake. Wondering what kind of intakes you guys have, if you have any of the above or any recommendations. |

Re: Induction opinions
I have an airbox lid.
Not sure of the stock V6 set-up, do you have a pic of the stock set-up? Search around a little more as well. Byunspeed.com is a friend's site, and he does pretty good with prices. Match anyone's shipped price, seeing as he doesn't charge shipping.

Re: Induction opinions
Unfortunately no. I'm overseas right now (for the next couple of weeks anyway), so I don't have access to my car. It looks kinda like this:
![]() The only exception here, is that this car has a modded intake lid/tube without the air baffles. I did some extensive online searching and couldn't find a picture of the 98+ 3800 stock setup. |
