A question about marriage

I see so many married jokes and married comments from you guys complaining about life after marriage, no sex, no money, etc.

If life is so bad with us women then why do you all get married?? If it's that bad surely you'd be better off staying single.

You'll probably find that most of the people making the jokes aren't married. The jokes are funny either way. Its like the blond jokes - their funny but that doesnt make them true.

But it’s not just jokes, it’s also comments (and most of them from married men). It seems everyone has the same opinion and that it’s universal that being married sux. I just want to know why so many people do it if this is the case.

I bet they wouldn't give up being married to be single. Being single sucks.

It's a male thing.
Men like to act like they are cool in front of other men because they are worried about showing any signs of weakness in front of mates etc.
Can you imagine a group of blokes standing around having a few beers and saying " oh i love my wife so much, and i know she loves me and we have such a wonderful life together"....yeah right...lol

For all the little faults my wife might have(and me too), i wouldn't change anything. We got married for the same reason as every other person...Love

(see what happens, when a man admits that he actualy loves his wife, and is glad he's married to her. Generaly the more a guy complians the less he means it. (about marriage anyway))

Guess I am the worst offender in this forum It's a safety valve,I guess....if you are lucky enough to find the perfect partner,I am happy for you.......but if you are lucky enough to have an imperfect marriage that you can improve by simply talking to your partner,I'd love to know the secret! like P-man said,it's a guy thing.....odd that we would rather tell our woes to strangers, but that's the way of least resistance....when did you lever hear the second guy say"Mate, you really need to try a bit harder around the house and stop dissing your wife"? Most married men would rather walk barefoot over broken bottles than try to talk to their wives about relationship problems

I love being married.

I also love complaining about things.

Ergo, I love complaining about being married.

If I were single, no doubt I'd complain about that instead.

Hehehe!

I'm single too (at least, from a marital point of view!! :hehe: )... I'm too bloody young to even think about marriage at this stage! I don't think I'd complain about it too much though. If you marry the right person, there's no reason why you should complain (unless it's just a good natured joke - like most in here seem to be).

Don't worry FTO Girl... I'm betting that the guy you marry will be lucky enough to be praising the Lord every day for blessing his life so!
