I hope someone can help me... My 95 Blazer is swaying REALLY bad in the front end. It is mostly noticeable at lower speeds like 25/mph. It literally feels as if I am driving on boulders. I had an alignment about a year ago. I am due for new tires soon. I am not very mechanically inclined but I am hoping that someone can offer some suggestions as to what can be wrong with it. I am new to South Carolina and I do not know of any good shops in the Myrtle Beach area so if anyone has suggestions... please speak up. Thanks in Advance, Shelly

Re: Blazer Front End Wobbling/swaying
It sounds like you might have a shifted belt in the tire, a bent wheel, or worse. Take it in to a shop ASAP, It could be dangerous. If you're looking for a shop check out this site: http://cartalk.com/content/mechx/

Re: Blazer Front End Wobbling/swaying
There could be a hundred thinks causing that problem.
Busted sway bar. Broken sway bar links Loose steering linkage Worn or broken belt in a tire /Bent rim Loose upper or lower control arms Bad ball joints just to mane a few. Get it into a GOOD front end place and have them look it over. |

Thanks
Thanks Rickza and Fireplug - I looked at the car talk website and spoke with a few coworkers and have found a shop that may be able to help me. I haven't been driving my blazer in a couple of weeks because I thought it may be dangerous as you have mentioned. Once I find out what is wrong, I will post an update just in case anyone is interested or comes across the same prob. Again, thanks!
