Re: s-10 power

Don't they have aftermarket computer chips for these, that should help and not mess with a warranty. After that you'd have to start changing things like the manifolds, and what not which the dealer would frown on.

installing a NOS system would give you a 100+hp kick, and you wouldn't have to change much (and if everything looks stock for any warrenty work they really can't say much)

Re: s-10 power

Headers, high flow cat, pulley kit, chip, intake manifold. They might make a bolt on supercharger for it. I haven't looked in a while. NOS is cheap hp, but how often are you going to use it? I'd rather have more power across the range for daily driving. Still, it is cheap hp compared to what you have to spend in other parts to get 100hp.

Re: s-10 power

On something that new, you cant use a chip, you have to use something like a Hypertech Programmer instead of a chip. Like KaKeDZX said, I would also do the headers, cat, pulley, and intake. If you want superchargers, go to www.superchargersonline.com They have lots of different types of superchargers and also, they have information on the different types of chargers, and a horsepower calculator. But also like said earlier, I would rather have the extra power all the time than having NOS, unless you are going to drag race or something like that. Another option you could consider, is a turbo kit or swapping engines out to a V8, LT1, LS1, or just any Small Block. And If you are going to do that, I would also do suspension upgrade so it will handle nicer with that heavier engine up there. Also, don't forget about the one thing that is more important than being able to go fast, Stopping Quickley, Don't Neglect your brake system...

Just some Ideas....

Re: s-10 power

Ahh...the pesky thing called the warranty, well then if you want the warranty kept, Don't Chip It. Atleast for diesel trucks, you chip it, the warranty is void. I believe you could do the pulleys, headers, and cat without bothering the warranty, if you would like clarification, go down to the dealership you bought it from and talk to them about it. They should be able to help you on that issue...

Re: s-10 power

I you decide to buy the Hypertech power programmer III be sure you know what your doing you really can't hurt your engine but you can foul up your O2 sensors and you Catalytic converter witch for me cause I had no clue neither cost me an extra $300.00 dollars about what you will pay for the programmer.
