need help installing a mbc on my 2g t25

ok this is making me really mad, i cannot figure out how to get the turbos xs mbc to work on my car i have the stock t25 turbo i disconnected the stock bc and hooked the mbc up how it said in the directions which for some reason it didnt work it still was only hitting about 12 12.5 psi and it should have been putting out 1 psi so if anyone can give me some detailed instructions on this i would greatly appricate it

Re: need help installing a mbc on my 2g t25

I can tell you how to install a homemade/JoeP boost controller....I wouldn't think that the xs would be any different.

Before I get to that what did you mean by this statement "it should have been putting out 1 psi"????

You need to remove the lines running to the BCS, but leave the electrical harness plugged in. The side of the MBC with the ball should be run to a T in the line coming off the BOV. The other side should be run to the WG actuator. Then all you have to do is set the MBC. Everyone recommends to start with the MBC backed our all the way and make a pull. Then stop, pop the hood and screw it in all little....repeat. Also, if you are using the stock BOV you may want to consider upgrading, it leaks. Enjoy.

Re: need help installing a mbc on my 2g t25

if you did your homework you would know that the Turbo XS is not a good MBC for DSM's. but too late for that. 1 line from BOV, 1 line to wastegate. unplug the BCS hoses and clamp of the one not going to the wastegate. leave it plugged in or you may get a CEL.

Re: need help installing a mbc on my 2g t25

arent there other ways to installing the mbc? I mean ive done it that way as well when i had to install mine, but isnt there a less accurate installation? Also, yea man you should have just bought a regular mbc off ebay for like 15 bucks and itll do a better job than the xs. If you have the option, i would return it.

Not talking shit or anything, but let me get this correct. You can do a 6 bolt swap and rebuild a turbo with your eyes closed, but you cant install a mbc, theres something wrong with that picture. Just making an observation, thats all!

This is one fucked up post. This is like saying that you can build a house from top to bottom and can't install a mailbox post. WTF. How is this even possible. You think that backing out the MBC is going to give you 1 psi of boost (are you sure you aren't talking about 1 bar)? Eliminate the lag??? Shit, with 1 psi you wouldn't even know that you have a turbo. I am confused : . You researched MBC's for a year and can't get it right? Hell, I researched it for about 5 minutes after I got it in the mail and had it installed in about 30 minutes. One year of research for a 30 minute job, and you still can't get it right? So by that estimate you must be about 70....needing 68 1/2 years to research the 6 bolt swap.

Re: need help installing a mbc on my 2g t25

holy shit! I think i installed my mbc wrong. Well, i did everything, but unplug the y split which leads to the turbo compressor and the WGA. So what i have is the on hose going teed to the bov and the other hose plugged into the other tee where the WGa and the turbo compressor is. On the site it says to plug the compressor with a plug (which i dont have), and plug the hose from the mbc to the WGA. So should i do this, and why not keep it the same? Why plug the turbo compressor? Thanks in advance guys!
