Window Noise

ok...so i just bought my 2001 clipse spyder gt...the driver window makes a funny noise when the last part of the window is about to be all the way down...i dont really know how to describe it...its like a low pitched whale underwater...lol... i was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if they fixed it?

also my windows go down really slowly especially when you put two down at the same time...is there any way to fix this? does anyone know that causes this??

THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL OF THE HELP!!

L

Re: Window Noise

the reason that it goes down slow is b/c the cars electrical system is trying to use a constant power to do two things at once. lets say the car uses 20v of electricity to roll the windows down. if you just roll one down at a time, it will use the whole 20v to roll down the one window. now if you do two windows at the same time, its going to use 10v for the driver side and 10v for the passenger side. there for they will move slower.

as for the window making a noise, check to make sure theres nothing inside the door that is causing it to make the noise

Re: Window Noise

is any way to feed more power to the cars accessories? i mean like in a new it still goes down slower when you do 2 windows at the same time the this is REALLY slow...like the window is crawling down and it is even worse if you are rolling up the windows...thanks again.

Re: Window Noise

Toss some graphite dust down it, and see if this helps. If nott pull off your door panel (be EXTERMELY carefull when you do this! Just pull it straight off firlmy... Dont Jerk It!!! Look inside, and inspect. The plastic belt that pushes the window up and down might be broken. If you have to replace it.... well expect spending a good day on it since this will be your first day. It is a royal pain in the ass!
