Re: bosch

If it's free, try them out. Why not?

Re: bosch

I wouldn't change them until the maintenance schedule calls for a plug change. I doubt that you will notice any change in performance or fuel mileage by changing to the Bosch plugs.

Re: bosch

I had a set of platnum 4 prong in my 93 4cyl, I didn't notice any difference I talked to a buddy of mine that is an electricians mate (NAVY) with a specialty in engine repair, after a few choice words like You idiot, he explained that every thing you hear about electricity is it takes the path of least resistance so unless all four prongs are at perfect gap and they are untarnished the spark is going to arc betwean the electrode and one maybe 2 prongs max. He said Nissan had the right idea when they used to put 2 spark plugs per cylinder.

Re: bosch

I think the point of the multi-prong plugs is that the arcing wears out the gap. It will only arc to one or two initially, but will begin to use the others as the gap in the first two increases from erosion. This will theoretically give the plug a longer life. YMMV

Re: bosch

Kind of a far fetched theory especially if you take into account carbon buildup dirt and so on.
