Re: evo 16g in 1G

Well what you should do is get a SS oil feed line to make it easier on yourself and then you wont have to worry about leaks either. Plus a SS oil line looks good and I think they flow better. Everything bolts up as if it were stock, all the gaskets are the same as stock except the turbo to manifold gasket (needs to be 7cm). Anyways the only things you need to bolt it up are:

Turbo to manifold gasket = 7cm
Turbo to O2 housing gasket
O2 housing to Down Pipe gasket
Oil return to oil pan gasket
Turbo to oil return line gasket
8 crush washers (4 for the oil feed - 2 for the water feed - 2 for the water return)
Turbo to IC J-pipe gasket

And if you end up taking the exhaust manifold off you will probably want to replace that gasket also.

Re: evo 16g in 1G

I reused the same o2 housing gasket for 5 years. I usually reuse the manifold to head gasket as well. Crush washers can be reused usually. I'll reuse the O2 to downpipe gasket until that bitch leaks. If the drain line gasket comes off one surface cleanly, I just clean it up and throw some RTV on that POS. You shouldnt have to remove the oil drain line from the pan, and I would avoid it if possible. But the compressor outlet gasket (to the jpipe/outlet elbow) should definitely be replaced, boost leaks suck. Replacing all of the gaskets is a good idea, my point is just not to panic if you are missing one (or some) of them.

Thats what I was going for. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist, so if I take off a gasket I always usually replace it with a new one, I probably waste a lot of money that way but its kind of like insurance, cause then I dont have to worry about it not working/leaking.

Re: evo 16g in 1G

7cm gaskets come with the DSM upper/full gasket kits believe it or not. Comes with 3. One is small for the 13g, the other is the 6cm for the 14b, and another is 7cm, not sure why. But calling it a 7cm gasket will get odd looks from the parts guy. Might be a bit difficult to get from the dealer without a part number.
