fuel pump relay question

I have a 95 blazer. Once in about every ten start-ups my fuel pump does not activate. The motor turns over fast but no fuel. I pull the fuel relay out of one socket in the glove box and stick it in the slots right next to it and it starts right up. Two days later, it does the same thing. I take the relay out and put it into the original slots and it starts. Sometimes I take an extra relay that I have and have to stick that in. I usually get it to go. It's a ridiculous situation. The fuel pump was changed about a year ago because of this problem. Now it came back. The relay does get a little warm to the touch sometimes.
