HID's STOLEN!!??

I left my s4 parked in town on a fairly busy street when i went out partying on christmas night. When i came back out i thought, hey thats funny, i have no headlights! Someone pried up my fenders and broke my HID headlights out. After talking to the cops and my insurance agent i guess people use them for stun guns? I would think it makes more sense to sell the things for the grand that they are worth. ANyways do you guys know of any way to keep this from happening again? IS there a good alarm that i could buy to go off if they start messing around with my car? I cant affor the $500 deductable more than once! Thanks in advance.

Bloody Hell never heard that one before but yes there should quite a few on the market that will fill your need like shock sensors under bonnet switches that will trigger the alarm.

Hey look into getting an alarm that has a remote with it, because even if your alarm goes off in the lot, people might not care or might not hear, so get the remote, my brother has one and it works great, if anyone touches your car the remote tells you at your party so you can go check up on your car. I dont know the brand but if you want all the details Ill find em out for you.

that would be great because i know that even if the alarm went off people really dont care anymore cause they go off all the time. The other problem is apparently these headlights can be removed in like a minute so whats the response on one of these things? If you could get me a link that'd be awesome

Here's one of the best rated ones on the market....

If you don't want to shell out the money for a fragile LCD screen, you can opt for a LED lighted remote.

The best thing to do is get an aftermarket alarm with a shock sensor. That way if the car is shaken or moved in anyway the alarm will activate. Also, you should a Hella air Horn (which is what I have) that way if the alarm is triggered the horn will blare and definitely drawn attention.

stolen hid's

If you havent gotten an alarm yet Alpine makes a great infered perimiter alarm with a pager. You set one of the the three perimiters so if someone gets within 6 in. of the car it sets off a warning soud. the second perimiter is the vehicle body witch triggers the alarm and sends you a page. The third is for the interior so you can leave your windows down and be safe.
