Nitrous Questions

I traded my amp and subs for a zex dry nitrous system. It is the 55-75 HP adjustable system. Does anyone have any experience with this setup. The Zex website says that as long as your car meets this checklist it will work:

<LI>ZEX™ Nitrous Compatibility Checklist
  • Engine must have a vacuum ported fuel pressure regulator
  • Throttle position sensor voltage must pass the following test:
    • Locate the T.P.S. (usually directly across from throttle linkage)
    • Turn ignition to on position (do not start engine)
    • Using a digital voltmeter, check each wire for a low voltage reading of approximately 1 volt.
    • Only one wire should have this low voltage with the throttle closed
    • While on that same wire, open the throttle completely and check the voltage reading
    • If your voltage reads 4.2 volts or higher, you are ready to install your ZEX nitrous kit
I am at work, so I haven't been able to check the voltage yet. However, does the tib have a vacuum ported fuel pressure regulator. I only plan on using the nitrous once in a while, how damaging will it be to my engine. I want to experiment with it but not at the expense of having to rebuild my engine. I have the 2001 tib, BTW.

I'v seen people using it before, so you shouldn't have any problems. As far as wear and tear is concerned, you will have to rebuild your engine after about maybe 3-7 months. This is because the Beta 1 internals aren't that strong to begin with.
