2000 Rodeo Sport with P0128

I just had my idiot light go on and the DTC turned out to be P0128. This is the Coolant Thermostat reading Temperatures lower than regulated. What does this translate to as far as a fix. Do I have to replace the coolant thermostat....if so where is it.....or is my CT frozen due to cold weather and will go back to normal once the engine warms up?

Sounds like a stuck thermostat? If it's the 3.2L, you will need to pull the common chamber (upper intake), as the thermostat is burried under there. No idea where the T-stat is on the 2.2L 4cyl. How's your heater work? Whats the coolant temp gauge say?

G/luck
