4X4 control panel lights not working 4 wheel drive not working

A little Late ? I have a 94 S10 4X4 with 2 Problems.
# 1) My 4 Wheel driv did not work and my Dash Lights worked intermittently. Because my Dash light were on at Times I never checked the Fusses ( a smaller Fuse is for the Lights ? - There is a 25 or 30 AMP fuse that controls the 4 Wheel Drive (Motor) in the Transfer case, I Brought it to my Chevy Dealer and it costs $ 90.00 for a Fuse (No Problem/ I never would have found it Myself and the 4X4 Works Most of the time.

Problem # 2, The 4X4 Dash Control Panel Lights go Out sometimes also intermittently, I have Removed the Switch and Unplugged the Control unit Behind the R/H Kick Panel and the lights might still be out - Then all of a sudden they will come on and the 4X4 works Great.
Any Help would be Great

i have a 93 s10 4.3 h.o.
as a general rule....of s10 4x4 engage probs....
if it dont engage or wont disengage....
unplug the neg off the batt for 10 mins....and all should work fine.......untill it dont :/
repeat as nessessery......which it will happen again.
also your 4x4 comp that is screwed onto the main computer under the pass kick panel....may be failing.
i had similer probs.,...got 2 4x4 comps from a yard...
first one had same probs....second one fixed the prob.
just rember used 4x4 comps are still old....and you dont know if they work till u try it....
good thing about yard parts..is that the yard will take it back if it dont work and get you another...till you get one that is good.
if you cant get one from a yard that works....go to the dealer and shell out about $280...
maybe you could find it online cheaper.....

BTW most older and some newer s10s..
that have wierd 4x4 probs....that have been checked out....vaccum&actuator wise....
turn out to have bad 4x4 comps.
this info came from my local chevy dealer.
