96 blazer rear end wobble

Saw a similar thread, but not quite. MY rear end wobble is at very low speeds. under 15 mph. I can look at the rearview mirror, and see the rear end swaying from side to side. Tires have been balanced and rotated from front to rear. There is also a pulsing when braking, so will replace rear pads, and turn drums this week to see if any change occurs.

dont think brakes would cause this to sway from side to side...

sounds like maybe a bent axle on one side.

jack back of blazer up and turn wheels and see if you have a bent axle... or even one wheel not on correctly. maybe something behind the rim?

if they did a 4 wheel alighnment it would show a bent axle. they would have told him they can't alighn with out fixing problem.
sounds bad if they wher able to alighn the front to the back, and he still has wobble,
or they didn't do there job right.

yep thats rite never even thought of that... but maybe your rite. they never done there job correct and didnt check it or see it?... doesnt really take that long to jack up rear end eliminate one cause

if they made that big of a mistake i would be suprised, cuz they would not of got a correct reading for alighnment, witch would mean if you crashed that day leaving they would be liable and the guy doing it should not be working on cars,
whats weard is you say you see the tire in your rear veiw wobbleing.
and they still alighned, umm!

umm! thinking more about it, is there a bubble on your tire. thats all i could think of

Actually its not the tire I see in the rearview, its the rear end of the truck. kindof hard to explain. Did not get the alignment, they said it didn't need it, but now am thinking I need another opinion.

Will also check tire for bubbles while I have them off to do the brakes. they are quite new tires, but hey ya never know these days.

could be balence of tires to, also check your shocks,
if it was a bent axle i would think it would brake a seal and leak fluid,

Ok, got an update to this issue. I have now replaced shocks all the way around, new brake pads all around, turned the drums, and replaced the driver side rear brake cylinder. After the last time I put the wheel back on, it did wobble for about 1-2days.

Now the latest development. Yesterday 2 lug nut studs snapped off. This makes 3 total studs that I have replaced on the same wheel due to breakage. Took the truck and tire to the shop this morning, They rebalanced the wheel, but said otherwise it appears fine. They have no clue...

Have them run the vehicle on a lift. Either the axle or wheel is bent, or the tire has a shifted belt. Unless the wheel was never seated straight on the axle.
