Bentley 3rd at Lemans!

Lead by Andy Wallace, Bentley stormed back to lemans with a 3rd overall finish, and first in their class. Despite problems with #7 car that eventually retired due to engine fire, the #8 car took 3rd behind two Audis.

I saw an hour of Le Mans. That Bentley was an Ass Kicker. I was watching the #8 car for a bit and was pissed to here that the #7 was out due to engine trouble. Did those Audis place 1st and 2nd?

Yeah, they did. As you see I pay tribute to them in my sig. Both cars, and BTW, those pics are from yesterday. #7 with Brundle behind the wheel and #8 with Wallace, the 2 Bentley aces.

The active 'share-ware' business permeating auto-racing is sickening. Race teams, particularily those backed by their home company, ought to use their own products. Bentley uses the proven powerplant from the Audi R8. Struggling with untuned fresh meat is what writes automotive history. The EXP Speed 8s will probably find their own hearts sometime in the upcoming years, but the initial boost from Audi labels them as marketeers--business before engineering. Perhaps one may even call them mercenaries, willing to place monetary return over genuine spirit.

Kudos for reviving Le Mans with a closed-top prototype racer, but leave out the foreign hardware and perform on your own.

I saw most of the race at a friends house and saw the highlights this passed weekend at my house. While I'm glad to see Bentley back in the mix of things, Audi is pretty much dominating right now. I wish the best for Bentley in the years to come, but Audi all the way baby!

I like the German rule of Bentley I now like them even more cause it is under the great VW company. I love the Bentley and it was a good race I watched 18 hours of it. I miss a few hours cause I was at the beach hanging out with friends.
