Re: Auto...

Get a manual conversion kit. Relatively cheap and easy job if you know what you're doing/have someone who knows what they're doing performing the work.

very very true.. take some time to look around at other 240s, consider how much yours is worth and try to break even at least. i personally don't like auto whatsoever. i would never buy and auto unless it was a huge suv or somethin.. you would definitely be happier with a 5-speed.. i know the frustration of only having an auto cause i used to have to drive my parents cars and they wouldn't buy 5-speed..

Re: Auto...

Just go to a wrecker. All the wreckers here sell kits for our Silvias. Failing that if you are good at bargaining I'm sure you can get everything you need to make a kit from the same wrecker, then haggle him down to a good price

Note: By "kit" I mean a complete set of parts needed to do a conversion.

Re: Auto...

yea i feel you bro...i drove my auto hatch and came across my 5-speed coupe on christmas day!!! Hesitated none and bought that bitch when they opened up after holidays. So now i have auto and manual. Let me tell you BUY THE MANUAL. My auto has coils, header, cat, cat-back. I see it as a waste of money because my stocker manual will smoke it (of course). But i will soon have all that swapped over to the coupe and then have a stock hatch again. LoL and my insurance went down so now i have insurance on two cars which is cheaper than when i just had my hatch!!!!

a turbo is faster on an automatic transmission then a manual transmission

a variant of your auto transmisssion is used on such cars as the new Nissan Titan 375 lbs of torque, the Q45 series of all years, 300zx twin turbos, and probably any other automatic rwd nissans from jdm land like rb rwd skylines etc

you can build it to take some power

manual transmissions break too... just something to keep in mind
